In 2024 AISC hosted three workshops that brought together sustainability AEC leaders from Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. These collaborations have been critical for AISC to learn how to better support designers in their mission to lower the embodied carbon in their projects by using structural steel. This session will describe how the outcomes of these workshops have fed into resource toolkits, exciting research innovations, and a sustainability design guide.
