Steel Design Revisions in 10th Edition of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications (PDH) 2024

Presented by Mike Grubb, PE, and Brandon Chavel, PE, PhD

The AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications 10th edition will have several changes and improvements related to steel bridge design that bridge designers need to be aware of. This webinar will provide an overview of these revisions, identification of the research behind the changes, and examples that illustrate the use of the revised specifications.

Topics will include revisions to shear stud design, new stiffness, strength, and fatigue requirements for cross-frames, new lateral torsional buckling computations for nonprismatic section, and revisions related to the identification of nonredundant steel tension members.

This course is based on a past AISC Live Webinar.
