This session will be a panel discussion of the recent updates to the AISC Code of Standard Practice as it relates to Alternate Delivery Methods such as Design Build, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Private-Public Partnership (P3). There will be a general discussion around the overall value of utilizing the Code throughout the design and construction process where the engineer, fabricator/erector and contractor collaborate early to mutually optimize the structural steel design and cost, as well as, specific topics such as contract document requirements, allowances, delegated connection design, and contract adjustments.
