Life Cycle Analysis and embodied carbon data are moving into the owner, designer, and contractor procurement decision-making processes. In this changing landscape, how is the use of LCA evolving and what does this mean for concrete, timber, and steel? This presentation will also explore two structural LCA case studies with a 50 and then a 100-year building life, and how cost, resiliency, and adaptability considerations move in steel’s favor when we extend our thinking.
