SteelDay Webinar: Bridging Research and Practice to Go Beyond the Specification (PDH)

Presented by: Christopher Raebel, PE, SE

Designers, fabricators, and researchers are all at the forefront of steel innovation. And great things can happen if they work together to solve problems and confirm that creative design solutions actually work. Our free SteelDay webinar takes a look at several projects where design firms engaged with researchers to get confirmation that their innovative idea would be successful. As an added bonus, the design firms worked with students who became future employees!

AISC’s new vice president of engineering and research, Christopher Raebel, has been involved in several of these projects, and he shared his expertise with you during the 2022 free National SteelDay webinar on October 21.

Raebel spent 12 years practicing at firms that specialize in commercial, residential, and industrial structural design before switching over to academia. He served as chair of the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), where he was also director of the Architectural Engineering Program.

This course is based on a past AISC Live Webinar.

You must view the video and pass the quiz to receive a PDH certificate for this course.
