The AISC Code of Standard Practice is a critical handbook for engineers, fabricators, erectors, and anyone else involved with steel construction. The provisions within have been helping ensure smooth project execution for the last almost 100 years. The 2022 edition of the Code was significantly revised to include additional best practices for you and your project team. This session will provide a behind-the-scenes look into the major changes. Topics include the strengthening of the code in the context of building codes, reorganization of and revisions to the provisions related to design and construction documents, revised shape material specifications, reorganization and revision of fabrication and erection tolerances, updated AESS provisions, and more.
