This webinar presents an introduction to the general topic of torsion in structural members, including descriptions of St. Venant and warping resistance. Tools and methods for calculating twist and torsional demand stresses are discussed including the AISC Design Guide 9: Torsional Analysis of Structural Steel Members. In addition to member behavior, the specific topic of steel lintel design for large openings in bearing wall buildings is also addressed.
